This episode of the Best Place to Build Podcast features 3 members of the Raftar Formula Racing team, the first competition team from CFI (Centre for Innovation). Explore the high-octane world of student formula racing and enjoy a tour behind the scenes of one of India’s most impressive student engineering projects.
Join Amrut as he speaks to team captain Aryan Varma, aerodynamics lead Ankith Suresh, and powertrain specialist Divyaratna Joshi about how they started with combustion vehicles and then transitioned to electric vehicles during the Pandemic.
If you are interested in F1 Formula Racing, the engineering marvel that is a racecar or just more about how engineering can be practically experienced on the tracks, this is the episode for you.
"Student Formula racing is a fascinating world. A bunch of college students come together to design and build a race car and then take that car to a race track and compete with other college teams from across the country and the world! The stories that come out are movie-worthy! hashtag#FormulaSAE hashtag#FSAE
I met the student racing team of IIT Madras - Raftar and asked them, firstly, who taught you to build race cars? Secondly, why are you spending hashtag#90hrs a week of your prime college life on this - what is the point of all this hardwork? Thirdly, are you winning or not? IITM ka naam roshan kar rahe ho ki nahi?"
