About Us

VayuJal is a clean-tech startup incubated at International Centre for Clean Water (ICCW) at IIT Madras. VayuJal specializes in extracting quality drinkable water from thin air, catering to individuals and communities with limited access to clean water. VayuJal offers personalized, sustainable water generation, eliminating reliance on water cans and plastic bottles. The company's mission is to provide sustainable, on-demand drinking water solutions to individuals and communities facing water scarcity or poor water quality.

VayuJal's AWGs utilize advanced filtration and condensation technologies—inspired by natural processes observed in desert plants and insects—to collect atmospheric humidity, purify it through an eight-stage process, and remineralize it to meet World Health Organization (WHO) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for safe consumption. With a product range capable of generating between 40 and 3,000 liters of water per day, VayuJal aims to eliminate reliance on external water sources.
