Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Dinnepu is a visionary Chief Product Officer and Entrepreneur with 26 years of professional experience in building innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as CPO at SmartSoC Solutions Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru, he heads the Product/System Design Services Business Unit specializing in Industrial IoT (IIoT), AIoT, Embedded Vision, Edge AI, and Cyber Security.
Vijay is widely recognized as a pioneer in IoT for Agriculture in India. He is the Founder and CEO of AgWiQ Technologies and the creator of KisanRaja, a groundbreaking IoT-based autonomous irrigation solution that has revolutionized farming practices across the nation.
His entrepreneurial journey began with KisanRaja in 2010, where he developed the first Mobile Motor Controller Device that has since helped over 60,000 farmers manage their irrigation systems remotely. This innovative solution has resulted in the conservation of 890 billion liters of water and 29 million units of electricity annually, saving farmers approximately INR 11 crores in energy costs.
Vijay's professional foundation was built during his 6-year tenure at Cisco, where he contributed to IOS software development for Catalyst 6500 series switches and was instrumental in scaling the team from 10 to 150 engineers. His technical expertise spans embedded systems, networking protocols, cloud-based IoT architecture, AI/ML, and enterprise-scale product development.
Notable achievements include securing a World Bank project for implementing automated sensor applications in West Bengal, establishing strategic partnerships with NABARD for the "Internet of Pumps" initiative, and receiving prestigious awards including the NASSCOM AI for Social Good Award and Cisco's Digitizing India Award. His work has created livelihoods for over 120 rural entrepreneurs while driving $3M in product sales.
